Obviously, the winches should be grease to lessen wear. As well, the rear winches apparently have a tendency to loosen from their mounts over time.
Halyard winch is held together not by the single top mounted flat-head screw, but by a C-clip that the screw and cap cover. Five nuts inside the cabin hold the winch in place.
To service the winch:
Rear winches are held together by a single top flat-head screw.
Port side winch is held to the mount by 4 flat head counter-sunk screws.
Starboard side winch is held to the mount by 1 counter sunk flat head screws and 3 counter sunk socket head cap screws (Allen wrench screws).
